Site survey, spectrum analysis, and heatmaps

Is WiFi onsite survey available?

Not in the current release.

JWaves focuses first on DECT planning, DECT onsite surveys, DECT spectrum analysis, and DECT sensor workflows. WiFi onsite survey support may be added later.

How are DECT onsite survey points captured?

During a DECT onsite survey, the user selects a point on the floor plan and JWaves averages measured RSSI data from the supported sensor.

The measured points can then be displayed on the floor plan and used to generate survey heatmaps.

How are RSSI heatmaps and reports created?

JWaves can display predicted RSSI heatmaps from simulation data and measured RSSI heatmaps from onsite survey data.

Reports are built from the project state, including floor plans, base stations or access points, walls, prediction outputs, measured survey data, and spectrum evidence when available.

Can I compare predicted and measured coverage?

Yes. JWaves is designed to compare predictive planning results with onsite measurements.

Use prediction heatmaps before deployment, then use DECT onsite surveys to validate real coverage and identify gaps or unexpected RF behavior.
