Analyze: DECT spectrum analysis

Use Analyze to inspect DECT RF activity and channel occupancy in real conditions.

JWaves spectrum analysis helps teams move from guesswork to evidence when investigating interference, busy channels, RF behavior, and deployment issues.

Before You Start

  • connect the supported JWaves DECT sensor
  • start the local sensor client
  • confirm that the sensor is using the correct DECT band
  • open the spectrum analyzer from JWaves

Start Spectrum Analysis

  1. Open the spectrum analyzer.
  2. Select the expected DECT band in the sensor settings.
  3. Start the capture.
  4. Watch the live spectrum display.
  5. Stop the capture when you have enough evidence.

Read The Spectrum View

Use the spectrum view to identify RF activity and channel behavior.

Typical checks include:

  • active DECT channel groups
  • unusually busy channels
  • unexpected RF activity
  • interference patterns
  • changes before and after moving equipment

Troubleshooting

If the spectrum view does not update, check these items first:

  • the local sensor client is running
  • the sensor is connected
  • the selected DECT band is correct for the site
  • browser access to the local sensor websocket is allowed
  • another application is not already using the SDR
