Verify: DECT onsite site surveys¶
Use Verify to capture real DECT RSSI measurements onsite and compare measured coverage with the prediction.
JWaves site survey workflows are designed for DECT onsite site surveys, measured RSSI heatmaps, offline capture, and later cloud synchronization.
Before You Start¶
- create or open the project
- upload and scale the floor plan
- connect the supported JWaves DECT sensor
- start the local sensor client
- confirm that live DECT measurements are visible in JWaves

Start A Site Survey¶
- Open the project floor plan.
- Enable the survey workflow.
- Select the base station you want to measure, or choose strongest RSSI mode when you want JWaves to use the strongest visible DECT signal.
- Click the point on the floor plan where the measurement is taken.
- Wait for JWaves to average the measurement.
- Repeat the process across the floor.

Review Measured Points¶
Survey points appear on the floor plan and can be shown or hidden from the survey list.
Use measured points to check:
- received signal level at known locations
- whether coverage matches the prediction
- whether a specific base station is dominant where expected
- whether additional measurements are needed in weak areas

Generate The Survey Heatmap¶
- Select the surveys you want to include.
- Switch the heatmap source to survey data.
- Generate or refresh the measured heatmap.
- Compare the measured heatmap with the predicted heatmap.

Offline Capture¶
The sensor client saves survey data locally while the survey is running. If cloud synchronization is interrupted, JWaves can recover pending local survey data and overlay it back onto the project when the connection is restored.
Troubleshooting¶
If a survey point does not appear, check these items first:
- the local sensor client is running
- the sensor is connected and receiving DECT data
- the correct floor is selected
- the selected survey or base station is enabled
- the project was saved after the survey was completed
